It's Time for the May Second Saturday Surprise

On the second Saturday of each month, the members of the team have the opportunity to select a special shop to shower some attention on that day. The shop I selected for May is Balsampondsdesign. The shop owner is Carol who lives in South Carolina, same state as where I live, but a different area. Here's a link to Carol's shop. Check it out! https://www.etsy.com/shop/balsampondsdesign

Carol tells this about herself:
I originally spent my years drawing. I loved nature and developed a love for art. I became a graphic designer, which was perfect for my life dream. I spent 18 years in that field. I dabbled in interior design from there. Now after retirement I have decided that since I spent so much time designing cards for my large and I mean large family. That maybe I should open an internet store. Etsy was perfect for me. That was in 2008. I have learned and enjoyed everyone I work with whether it is in the teams or clients it has been a great learning experience.

You can see a picture of Carol's studio by looking at her About Page. Most of her cards are one of a kind. Carol can personalize a card for you and makes custom cards as time allows. Glance through her shop and you will see Carol has cards you will not find in a store. She has birthday, anniversary, and sympathy cards, but also some for special occasions like Mother's Day (see the Mother's Day card specific to the "Mother-to-Be" shown below)  and even pet sympathy cards. Notice how the envelopes usually have a special touch added to them as well. Here are a few examples:

Carol's shop has an excellent reputation and she's a wonderful asset to the team. Carol serves as Leader and takes care of posting our Shop of the Week every weekend and also creates a heading for all the team members who have a birthday during the month. If you are on that list, you are assured of having a Happy Birthday!  Thanks for all that you do for us, Carol.
